Hi All-
This is my first crack at blogging but I figured it would be insightful to other individuals who walk down the path of real estate in this modern age. A little background about me… I was born at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue, WA. I was raised in Kirkland, WA my entire life. I am the daughter of a realtor/flight attendant/philanthropist mother and a marine/businessman/caregiver father. My grandfather and uncle are both developers in the Seattle area. All my aunts and uncles work at the family development business, Greenbank Development. From a young age I was exposed to real estate in many capacities whether it was helping stage my mothers listing, to watering the lawns at my grandfather’s development projects, to inputing invoices at the family office in the summer times.
As I continued to work alongside family and learn more about the endless facets of real estate I grew more curious about how real estate and the family business fit into my life. My sophomore year of college I decided I wanted to get my real estate license although my mom said I should wait until school was over and take in my last couple summers without having to worry too much about work. Those last summers “as a kid” I worked a nanny job as well as worked in my families office inputting invoices and attending meetings. In 2015, for christmas my only request was to attend real estate school as soon as I was done with college…. and that’s exactly what I did. I graduated early from Western Washington University on a Saturday and the following Monday (my 22nd birthday) I was in my first real estate class.
That’s when I knew I had found my calling….
